Lenders' own words, inside Claude.
Criteria by Lendmind gives Claude the published lending criteria of 80 UK mortgage lenders. Ask about a case in plain English. Claude finds the lenders that publish on it and quotes each lender word for word, with a link to the page in the lender's own document.

In a chat, check that Criteria is switched on in the tools menu, then ask your question. Once connected, Criteria also works in the Claude mobile app.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may need to add the connector for your organisation before you can connect. Add Criteria in Claude, not in Claude Code or another tool on your computer: Criteria answers only Claude's own servers. Once added in Claude, it also works in Claude Code signed in to the same account.
What Criteria can do
Criteria reads and never writes. It receives only the words Claude sends with each request, such as a topic or a lender's name, and never sees your chats or files.
- find_criteria_topics
- Turns your words, such as "holiday let" or "first-time landlord", into the topics lenders' criteria are indexed by, with how many lenders publish on each.
- compare_lenders
- Shows which lenders publish on those topics, which appear to exclude or set conditions, and what their rules depend on. It returns counts and hints, not quotes.
- read_lender_criteria
- Reads one lender's own words on those topics: up to 25 quoted passages, each with its heading, conditions, page and a link to the document at that page.
- list_lenders
- Lists the lenders Criteria holds, optionally for one product line, with how much each publishes.
Try these
-
What do Keystone Property Finance's criteria say about holiday lets? Quote them with the page.
Claude reads Keystone's own words, such as letting for at least 210 days a year and the LTV ceiling, each linked to the page in Keystone's document.
-
My client is a first-time landlord buying an HMO through a limited company. Which buy-to-let lenders publish criteria on this, and what conditions should I check?
Claude finds the topics, compares the lenders that publish on them, then reads the shortlisted lenders' own criteria.
-
Which lenders does Criteria cover for later-life lending?
Claude lists the lenders with published later-life criteria and how much each one publishes.
Reading the answers
- The quote is the evidence. Criteria's readings and its allow or exclude hints are machine readings of the quote and can be wrong. Check the quote, and open the page when it matters.
- Nothing found is not a no. When Criteria finds nothing on a topic for a lender, the lender has not been seen to publish on it. That is different from refusing it: ask the lender.
- Criteria changes when lenders do. Every answer names the criteria release it came from. Confirm a lender's current criteria before you submit a case.
- It is research, not advice. Criteria shows what lenders publish. It does not give financial advice or decide whether a lender will lend.
Limits
Criteria is free during its beta. Each account can make 1,000 requests and read 5,000 quoted passages a day, and 250 requests a minute. Daily limits reset at midnight UTC.
If something goes wrong
- The sign-in email has not arrived.
- Check your spam folder, then ask for another link on the sign-in page.
- Claude shows "This connection cannot continue."
- The connection request expired or was already answered. Go back to Claude and connect again.
- Claude says Criteria's daily limit is used up.
- Limits reset at midnight UTC.
- Claude says Criteria is unavailable.
- Criteria could not reach its criteria data for a moment. Try again in a minute, and contact us if it keeps happening.
- It does not work when I add it in Claude Code.
- That is by design. Criteria answers only Claude's own servers, so a connector added directly to a tool on your computer cannot call it. Add it in Claude instead: Claude Code signed in to the same account then reaches it through Claude.
Disconnecting and your data
To disconnect, open Settings, then Connectors in Claude, and disconnect Criteria. Claude stops using it straight away. To delete your Criteria account and its records, email us. The privacy notice explains what Criteria keeps and for how long.
